Problem with ThumbnailResolutionUnit Parameter

I want to correct my pictures and after that I want reload the picture in the camera EXILIM from casio.
One problem is that I loose the thumbnail when I change the content with the picture pocessing software.
With the programm EXIFER I can restore the thumbnail but the camera does not accept the thumbnail. After
I have compared the EXIF parameter I have seen that the parameter 'ThumbnailResolutionUnit=2' will generated by the camera but not by the program EXIFER.

Therefore I tried your software to add the Parameter in EXIF. There are two problems with your software:

1. In your EXIF Info the type of the parameter from the camera ThumbnailResolutionUnit is 3 but if I create by EXIF Editor the new parameter ThumbnailResolutionUnit the default type is 0 (unknown) witch I cannot change.

2. if I commit the changes I get a save error the logfile:
ExifEditor log, 9/10/2007 1:01 PM

D:\bilder und musik\Eigene Bilder\2007 Fotos\L'Arte\münchen\CIMG0099.JPG
Create a new tag ThumbnailResolutionUnit (#20528) with value 2, OK
Save change(s), A generic error occurred in GDI+.

If there any possibility to help me because I have not found a other way to reload pictures in the camera !

I've solution for you I hope. I was look at this problem and prepare a new version. Try this, is available on my pages for download - [www.kiwiczech.net].

This problem is in "undocumented" EXIF tags in pictures, the ThumbnailResolutionUnit is one of them. My EXIFeditor supports all exif tags defined in www.exif.org, specification 2.1 (but 2.2 version largely too). Solution is very simple in this case - just add a lot of new tags with their type to application's code.

Thank you for your fast solution. It works and I can write the ThumbnailResoltionUnit Parameter. But it happens a second problem.
In the EXIF there are further Parameters which are unfortunately changed or disappeared after commit the changes. Because is difficult to describe I will send you in an Email the XML files.

In XML files you sent me I cannot find any changes (at first look, there are too many parameters and I'm too lazy compare them one by one:-). Can you describe which exif parameter(s) for example has disappeared or has changed?
